Terms & Conditions.
The terms for using this site, and the terms that apply when you send us music or ideas. Plain language, no traps. Last updated August 2026.
These terms are between you and Outwrite Music Pvt. Ltd. ("Outwrite", "we", "us"), a company registered in Mumbai, India. They cover outwrite.in, every form on it, and anything you send us through it. If you submit music, ideas or material to us, section 7 is the part that matters most, and it is written to be read.
1. Who we are
Outwrite Music Pvt. Ltd. is a music company operating across publishing and rights administration, sync licensing and music supervision, original music for brands and film, live, and songwriter and artist management. Contact: info@outwrite.in, Mumbai, India.
2. What belongs to whom
The design, code, text, photography, artwork and layout of this site belong to Outwrite or to the people who licensed them to us. Recordings and compositions belong to their respective owners, which in most cases means our writers, artists and their partners. Artist names, logos and marks belong to the artists. Client and brand marks belong to those companies. Nothing on this page grants you a licence to any of it.
3. Using this site
You are welcome to browse, link to us, quote us with attribution, and take screenshots for personal or press use. You may not scrape or bulk-copy the site, republish it wholesale, use it commercially, or use it to train a machine learning model, without our written permission. We build rights for a living, so we take this one seriously.
4. Catalogue, credits and figures
Credits, catalogue entries, release information, stream counts and audience figures on this site are indicative, accurate to the best of our knowledge at the time of publication, and refreshed periodically. They are provided for information, not as a warranty, and not as an offer or confirmation of any right, share or availability. Rights and splits are governed by the underlying agreements, not by this website.
5. Links and embeds
Pages here embed Spotify players and link to Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, press coverage and partner sites. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy policies, and we do not control what they collect or publish. See our Privacy Policy for how that interacts with your data.
6. Nothing here is an offer
Nothing on this site, and no reply from us, constitutes an offer to contract, a licence, a clearance, a quotation, a commitment to sign or represent anyone, or legal, financial or business advice. Licences, publishing agreements, commissions and representation come into being only through a separate signed agreement.
7. Submitting music, ideas and material
This section applies whenever you send us anything we did not commission from you: through the submission form, any other form on this site, email, messaging, a shared drive link, or in person. It covers recordings, demos, toplines, lyrics, compositions, stems, artwork, treatments, briefs, pitches, campaign and score ideas, artist strategies, and enquiries about publishing, sync, commissions or management.
We read this section aloud to ourselves before publishing it, because it protects you as much as it protects us. The short version: your music stays yours, unreleased work does not leave Outwrite, submitting obliges neither of us to anything, and resemblance on its own is not evidence that we took something.
- Yours stays yours. Submitting transfers no ownership and assigns no rights. Every right in your music, lyrics, artwork and ideas remains with you and your co-owners.
- Why we can press play. You grant Outwrite a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to receive, store, stream, download, copy and share your submission within Outwrite, its group companies, and its professional advisers, solely to evaluate it and to discuss it internally. Unreleased material is not shared outside Outwrite without your permission. This is a voluntary practice, not a promise: it does not create a confidential or fiduciary relationship, and no submission is received in confidence.
- Your warranty. You confirm that the submission is your own original work, that you own or control all rights in it, and that you are submitting with the full authority of everyone involved, including band members, co-writers, producers, featured artists, session players, and any label, publisher or manager with an interest. You will indemnify Outwrite against any claim, loss or cost arising from a breach of this warranty.
- Existing commitments. If you are already signed to a publisher, label, management or any exclusive agreement, tell us at the point of submission. Outwrite is not responsible for any breach by you of an agreement you already hold, and we may stop reviewing a submission at any point if an existing commitment surfaces.
- No obligation, no implied contract. Submitting creates no obligation on Outwrite to listen within any timeframe, to respond, to give feedback, to explain a decision, to return material, or to work with you. No contract, publishing agreement, administration, management, agency, partnership, joint venture, employment or exclusivity arises from submitting or from our reviewing. Review is free, and no fee, compensation, royalty or credit is owed for receiving, reviewing, holding or declining a submission.
- Representation and management. Enquiring about representation, or our considering you for it, creates no management, agency or fiduciary duty and no exclusivity in either direction. Both sides remain free to talk to anyone else at any time. Any representation, management or administration relationship begins only under a separate signed agreement, and only from the date that agreement says.
- Independent creation. Outwrite, its writers, artists, producers, clients and collaborators continuously create, commission, develop and receive music and ideas from many sources, including in-house writing camps, brand briefs and open pitches. Material resembling your submission, whether in melody, lyric, theme, title, hook, rhythm, chord progression, arrangement, production style, sonic identity, campaign concept, score approach or artist positioning, may already exist, may be in development, or may be created later entirely independently, with no access to your submission.
- Similarity is not copying. You agree that similarity alone, however striking, is not evidence that your submission was used. You release Outwrite, its group companies, employees, writers, artists, clients and collaborators from any claim, including copyright infringement, misappropriation, breach of confidence, unjust enrichment and passing off, in respect of any work that was not actually and provably copied from the material you submitted.
- Ideas are free. Genres, styles, titles, themes, formats, concepts, campaign ideas, release strategies and artist positioning are not protected by submitting them. Nothing in these terms restricts Outwrite, its artists or its clients from creating, releasing, licensing or managing work in the same space as yours.
- Remedy is limited. If you believe a claim survives clauses 7 to 9, your sole and exclusive remedy is money damages. You waive any right to injunctive or other equitable relief that would delay or restrain the creation, recording, release, distribution, broadcast, promotion, licensing or exploitation of any work by Outwrite, its artists or its clients.
- We may decline without a reason. We are not obliged to explain a pass, and a pass is a judgement about fit, timing and what we can build, not a verdict on the work. We do not return submitted material.
- Your details and your files. Contact details and submitted files are used to evaluate the submission and to write back, as described in our Privacy Policy. They are never sold. Audio files are held with the submission platform named in that policy, on our instructions and for our use only.
- Under 18. If you are under 18, submit only with a parent or guardian's consent, and they accept these terms on your behalf. We will ask for confirmation before taking any submission from a minor further.
- The version that applies. The terms published on this page at the moment you submit are the ones that govern that submission. We may update this page, and material changes carry a revised date.
8. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts of Mumbai have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of them. If any clause is held unenforceable, it is severed and the rest stand unaffected. Nothing in these terms excludes any liability that cannot be excluded under Indian law.
9. Contact
